Das Jazz-Institut Berlin (JIB) präsentiert in Kooperation mit der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln studentische Eigenkompositionen zu den Themen Feminismus, Menschenrechte und Gender Equality.

Das im Jahr 2017 von Mia Knop Jacobsen initiierte Projekt Planet 9 am Jazz-Institut Berlin greift die jüngste Entdeckung des Planeten Nummer 9 auf und setzte ein musikalisches Statement, das sich Gehör für Vielfalt verschafft und strukturelle Hürden überwindet.
Nun greifen die Studentinnen Liv Sindler und Eva Swiderski die Idee wieder unter dem Namen shared PLANET 9 auf und freuen sich, die entstandenen Kompositionen des FLINTA* Ensemble aufzuführen, die unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Prof. Shannon Barnett, Prof. Cèline Rudolph und Fama M’Boup erarbeitet wurden.

In cooperation with the Hoschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, the Jazz Institute Berlin (JIB) presents student compositions on the topics of feminism, human rights and gender equality.

The Planet 9 project at the Jazz Institute Berlin, initiated by Mia Knop Jacobsen in 2017, takes up the recent discovery of planet number 9 and makes a musical statement that makes itself heard for diversity and overcomes structural hurdles. Now the students Liv Sindler and Eva Swiderski are taking up the idea again under the name shared PLANET 9 and are looking forward to performing the resulting compositions of the FLINTA* Ensemble, which were developed under the artistic direction of Prof. Shannon Barnett, Prof. Cèline Rudolph and Fama M’Boup.
